The Hoppy Gnome

Needed a quick bite and drink. I went with dessert for lunch at the bar. Excellent customer service by Dylan (sp?). He checked for me in the s'mores. We found out that the marshmallows AND the chocolate were made in-house. They tasted amazing!!!All the other good that went by looked excellent too. If I ever find myself back in Fort Wayne, I'll stop again.

Vegan tacos are delicious and they have a few other options. Beers are okay but they usually have a decent selection. I go there once every couple months for the food mostly. Atmosphere is pretty nice as well and they have one of the best outdoor seating areas for a restaurant downtown.

The atmosphere is neat. The food is subpar, if you are hoping for a traditional meal. They have modern trends in tacos that push the regular fan out of their comfort zone.

If you are in, near, around, or passing though, you HAVE to stop here. Ate here two nights in a row for dinner and it’s amazing. The beer is great, no doubting that, but the food was absolutely incredible. Prepared well, plated for pictures, and the flavor pairings were insane. Eat, drink, be merry, just make sure you check it out.

We love date nights at Hoppy gnome especially in the summer with their fabulous patio seating. The mahi tacos and house made sangria are my fave. Hubby loves their selection of craft beer. We are regulars here!

Amazing food, bit pricy but worth it. I had the steak pasta and my boyfriend had the lamp chop, both were fantastic. One of the best restaurants in Ft Wayne. Highly recommend.

Take you dog on the patio when you dine. They offer healthy choices and options to go with your brew.

Whenever I travel from Wisconsin to visit my son in Fort Wayne, I try to visit Hoppy Gnome. HG is a very comfortable place that has consistently had excellent service and great food. I particularly like the variety of Tacos and would enthusiastically recommend. I also felt the prices were fair and reasonable for the quality.HG is one of the best restaurants in downtown Fort Wayne. I'll will be back on my next visit.

Our waiter was great. I don't really like beer but he was willing to let me have a couple tastes/samples to find one I liked. Their kitchen is from scratch so if you have an allergy or want it spicy, no problem. Really enjoyable time.

Delicious brew-pub in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne!Really enjoyed my time here at this location. They had a large selection of craft and local beer. The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was pretty laidback. There’s plenty of indoor seating for small and medium sized groups, plus there’s a significant amount of outdoor seating which makes this place ideal for summer nights. I plan on going back for sure next time I pass through Fort Wayne.

The beer was ok, food tasty, but both were only about 80% of the way to great, with both lacking intensity/commitment: Crispier braised pork. More depth to the confit. More hops in the IPA. $13 for a flight of four and mid $20 for an entree - too expensive for what you get.

Connor the bartender was awesome. He was friendly and talkative. The only issue I had was the selection of beer they brewed, although tasty, was limited to 6 beers. I didn't eat there but their food menu looks impressive. I'll be back to try some tacos!

We enjoy all of the windows in the restaurant-the natural light is wonderful. We have found the wait staff, management, and kitchen to be extremely accommodating when it comes to food allergies. Plus, the beer and wine flights are a great way to sample a variety of options. And I highly recommend the sangria.

The tacos are amazing, the beer delicious, and the desserts are spot on. This was my first time visiting and the next time I am in town I will certainly be back. The staff took great care of me and even offered up suggestions for other places I could visit while I was in town but after having this food I didn't want to try anywhere else. Thank you Hoppy Gnome staff for making me feel so welcome and making the experience the best! I wish I had taken more pictures but I demolished my tacos before I could think to take a picture.

This is one of my most favorite places downtown. Every experience has been phenomenal. There was a lunch special that they were discontinuing and it was literally the greatest meal i've had in my entire life. I wish i could remember what it was and if they have it back. You can never go wrong with choosing 3 or 4 different tacos. They have a huge beer selection. This place should be a downtown Fort Wayne staple for years to come!

2 tacos for $10?! That’s crazy! I get they’re “GOURMET,” but let’s be honest...... it’s a taco. I tried the shrimp taco and the Dante taco. The Dante I liked! 5/5 stars for it. The shrimp taco had A LOT of something, cabbage maybe? I took most of it off and finished the rest and it was a little bit better. 2/5 stars on that one. The service was great!! Our waiter was quick with orders and drinks. Maybe I didn’t enjoy my visit as much because I didn’t get much into the beer menu. I’m gunna give that a shot next time and see what’s up because I usually hear a lot of hype about this restaurant.

Wide selection of tasty food and beverages. Went on a Sunday only to find out that they were doing brunch. They had a simple but excellent brunch menu, but I couldn't resist from ordering off the regular menu as I had heard great things about their tacos, which did not disappoint. The flavors were such a great combination and there were a few different choices to select from. For dessert we had the smores which by the way they make their own marshmallows!!I only wish I lived closer so I could eat at this place more frequently. This is a must if you are in Fort Wayne.

Had my birthday dinner here and was very pleased with the service all around. The tacos were very good and they even gave the kids some goldfish tacos which they loved. The drinks were ok. I will definitely eat here again and try out the patio next time :)

Good food and good beer. However, be prepared to pay a lot for it. While good, I'd hit up another brew pub in town to get a better value.

Great beer selection. Had a tasting of a variety of dark beers. Friendly and helpful bar tender. Good bar food. Try the different tacos (non traditional tacos that were very good).

Very good tacos. Not your typical Mexican tacos, but rather something unique. It's great if you are off peak meal times and get a seat outside. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Lots of specialty beer choices also. Its not what i would call inexpensive; more like competitive prices. It is well worth it.

The food and drink here are excellent. I'll definitely be stopping in again. The service was top notch as well. Nothing bad to say at all. Nice atmosphere to boot.

Excellent beer selection and everything we had (tacos, Mac n cheese, Korean short ribs, salad) was delicious. Our server was very personable. Everything about this place left a good impression.

Very enjoyable place with ample seating room, and parking near by. Their tacos are all phoenomenal and of stand out quality for the area. I've had some issues with service being slow and forgetful, but not every time. They offer a nice selection of beer to pair.

Staying in downtown Fort Wayne for work. Not much open within walking distance of the hotel on a Sunday at 7:30 but Hoppy Gnome is!! I wasn’t feeling up for any tacos (although they have a large assortment that sound delish.) I ended up getting the appetizer scallops. They were amazing. Perfectly seared and on a bed of their delicious hash! Wonderful assortment of beers also. I would return for sure.

Excellent food and the flights of beer are great to sample which ones you like the most. Our waiter was great and had great suggestions on both food and drinks. The place is casual and fun for groups. There's a bar as well if you want to stop by for a quick appetizer and drink. It is a fun downtown spot to try. Definitely will go again!

There are three things to look for, right? Atmosphere, food, service. They hit the ball out of the park on all of them. No frills space, but still chic and classy. The food is some of the best in NE IN. And the food comes quickly. They always have enough staff. Side note - Gnome Town brewing is great. They hit all of these same marks, and the brewing experience and staff are awesome.

Good food. Pork shanks, salmon curry, both cooked well, moist and tasty. Potato soup and potato mash were delicious. Tried a flight of the in house beers, they were ok, not my normal type of beer. Dessert was good, liked the churros, although the chocolate sauce tasted like Hershey's syrup warmed up, not a great combo with cinnamon from the churros. Very good service.

This was a great spot, and we had an excellent server that was very patient with a party of 11, including 4 toddlers. Huge selection of draft beers, including their own brews. They have a great selection of vegetarian/vegan food, including 4 different V tacos. I tried 3 of them (you can mix and match tacos).

Great Tacos! Vegan options available and perfect place to have a beer, catch some sports, and have some food. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of menu. Everything is made in house so they are super accommodating to all food allegories/ sensitivities.

The food was excellent, the staff was quick, clean, and knowledgeable. The drinks there are unique and excellent. Specifically recommend the margarita.

My Bartender Dylan, upon our initial interaction, only had the best of reviews from me. He was personable and remarkably able to maintain flow in conversation. Knowledgeable and definitely invested in the market. Offered several samples based on my queries and his insight on my tastes. Will certainly go back again if not for their impressive tap and bottle selection, then definitely for the hospitality I received. Thank you again, Dylan, for the conversation.

Seriously a great spot of Fort Wayne. They are the most accommodating restaurant for people with food allergies. They really make sure you have a good time with some great food. My absolute favorite thing is their brunch. When you have a chance you have to go! The image is of their French Toast, which I could eat 24/7.
